Victorian double snake Diamond ring
Terrific Victorian snake ring. Not hallmarked, but acid tested for 10K rose gold. The inside looks gold, but the stones are set in silver. This was done to enhance the Diamonds. There are 27 mine cut and rose cut Diamonds. The eyes of the snakes have small Rubies and Sapphires. This ring is continuous and cannot be re-sized–it is a size 6. Weight is 3.6grms. I would date this fine ring at c1850′s-60′s. Condition is very good for age.
