» Georgian gold memorial large hair pendant in original box

This is an amazing Georgian pendant in its original box. I never find Georgian pieces, either in this condition, or in the red leather box. It is a large Oval locket With braided brown hair on one side , with the initials WB in rose gold on the glass. The frame of the locket is 18K rose gold–tested with acids. On the reverse is a milky opaque background of a pale blue sky, with blondish light brown hair in a feather curl design. There are 2 tiny natural seed pearls holding the curls together. With a loupe I can see that one tiny seed pearl is missing. This is not visable to my naked eye. Hand engraved in script around the frame is Wm Biging obt 14 Dec 1802 aet 46. There are tiny twisted gold strands inside around the curls. The pendant measures 2 1/4″ X 1 1/2″ with the bail. Weight is 17.7g. There are no flaws or damage to glass that I can see.The box is also in very good condition, with surface wear that you would expect after 200+ years. This is truly the treasure of a Georgian or hair collectors dream.
