Don Hobe Necklace
Very rare signed Hobe necklace. I had the pleasure of meeting Don Hobe many years ago. He is the grandson of the famous Jacques Hobe. He was selling many of the family pieces of jewelry. I bought many of these early Hobe pieces from Don. This is one of the pieces I bought about 10 years ago. This necklace has everything you could want in an early Hobe piece. The large pendant on 2 chains leads to a fancy rhinestone box clasp. The bow top piece of the pendant has pale blue, yellow, purple and clear rhinestones. Dangling from the bow is a large pendant with the same colors all bezel set. One blue rhinestone dangles from the bottom. The clasp is fancy with a push rhinestone clasp with pink, clear and green stones. A safely chain completes the clasp. Length is 22″. The pendant measures 3″. Antiqued goldtone metal. Signed Hobe on the pendant, c1920′s. Excellent original condition.
