» Beautiful purple and blue enamel watch w enamel chain

This is a lovely enamel watch with matching chain. The watch has deep purple champleve enamel, with a white painted design of roses hanging. Purple enamelling is on both sides and on the bail. The border of the watch is a vibrant blue enamel. The metal is sterling, and has been tested. The chain has deep purple enamel links with white dots on each edge. The chain is enamelled on both sides. The watch is hallmarked ” E. Gubelin”, Lucerne, Swiss”. The hands of the watch have a pretty blue enamel as well. The watch measures 1 5/8″ X 1/2″ without the bail. Total length is 33″. I tried winding the watch but it does not work. But, knowing how Swiss watches are, I feel any good watch person could fix this one. Of course, the necklace is still beautiful without using the watch, but I would have it repaired. Condition is very good, with minor enamel loss on the tip of the bottom of the watch. I would date this stunning watch and chain at c1915-20′s.
