» Stunning Victorian Pique earrings

These are beautiful Victorian pique earrings. Pique is inlaid gold and silver into tortoiseshell. These are ovals with gold patterns of flowers, leaves, scrolls and many interesting designs. Minor silver inlaid work, mostly gold. The earrings are in very good condition for age. One has a minor chip and hairline in the back that does not show in the front, nor takes away from the beauty of the earrings. The drops measure 1″ X 5/8″ without the wires. The drop with the ear-wires is 1 1/2″. Weight is 3.4g. I would date these terrific earrings at c1860′s-80′s.
