» Great Rhinestone Bluebird pin and earring set

This set is most likely from the 1920′s. I feel this way because of the Art Deco look of the black and yellow wingspan of the birds. It just has that Art Deco look. It is heavy rhodium plated. The large bird is in flight with painted blue and yellow wings, an orange, yellow and black beak, and a blue eye. There is a large fancy pink stone in the belly and many clear rhinestones to accent. The earrings match perfectly with alternating colors. The large bird brooch measures 2 1/2″ X 2 1/4″. The earrings are 7/8″ clips. With a 10X loupe there is some minor paint loss and many of the tiny rhinestones have been replaced over time. Some of the stones are darkening. The set is unsigned. Wonderful old set. Great to find the earrings with the pin after 80+ years.
