» Tiffany and Co. Black enamel Rose brooch, 18K gold

Stunning signed Tiffany & Co. enamel cabbage Rose brooch. This beautiful brooch is from the turn of the century. There have been many copies of these brooches seen today in purple and in other bright colors, but they are not authentic Tiffany and Co. This is guaranteed authentic. The brooch is not hallmarked with the gold content so I acid tested it and it tested 18K or greater. I can only test to 18K. The black enamel looks like satin. The petals of the rose shine with depth and beauty. The dimentions are 1 1/4″ from each direction. The clasp holds very well. Condition is very good with minor edge bites here and there as you can see. What you see in the photos on the left is only light distortion, not damage. I would date this wonderful brooch at c1900.
