» Sterling blue and white glass cameo brooch

This is a very unusual brooch. I have not seen another like it in 30+ years of collecting and selling antique jewelry. The back is stamped sterling. The front looks like you are gazing through a gothic window at a mother and child with trees and perhaps a fountain. The front is very cold to the touch so it is glass or some other natural stone. This is not Wedgwood. The piece measures 2 1/8″ X 1 1/2″. There is the original old C clasp that works well. Weight is 14.1g. No chips, cracks or damage that I can see. I would date this lovely Victorian brooch at c1860′s-80′s.
