» Victorian gold Opal and Diamond bangle bracelet

Stunning Victorian Opal and diamond bangle. This beautiful bangle is set in 10K yellow gold with 9 matched natural Opals. No hallmarks but tested with acids. They are graduated in size from 8mm down to 5mm. In between each Opal are Old mine cut diamonds, a total of 24 diamonds. The Opals have shades of green, blues and pink flashes. The inside diameter of the bangle is 2 1/4″. Width is 1/4″. This fits my 7 1/4″ wrist with a little room to spare. The hinge snaps closed tightly and there is a safety chain. Condition is very good. With a loupe I can see two tiny small chips to two Opals. No cracks or crazing. No replaced stones. This is a fine Victorian bangle, c1890′s. You can see a photo of a very similar bangle on page 84 of Warmans Jewelry book, 3rd edition.
