Stunning Sterling silver Scottish Agate bangle. The bangle was tested with acids since there are no hallmarks. There is lovely engraved silver-work along the front and shoulders of the bangle. The back is not engraved–it is smooth. The front has all the native stones of Scotland, including Bloodstone, moss Agate, Carnelian and grey banded agate. The center stone is a large faceted Cairngorm. The bangle has a nice safety chain. Inside diameter is 2 3/8″. Width at the widest point is 1″. Weight is 33.1 grms. Condition is very good for age. There are flea-bites and minor chips to the stones. One banded grey agate stone has a small bit missing–but this does not detract overall. I would date this fine Victorian bangle at c1860′s-80′s.
